Less legroom on passenger side rear seat vs driver side rear seat?

Maybe a silly question but I was just replacing the floormats in my 2022 M3 LR to all-season mats. I was feeling around the areas under the front seats to ensure fitment of the rear floormats, and noticed a meaningful difference in gap between the floor and the seat bottom when comparing the driver vs passenger seats. For example, I would estimate that on the driver side from bottom of the seat (including any cables etc) to the floor, there is about 5" of clearance. On the passenger side, it feels more like 3". Feeling around the area, it just feels like the cables and other things at the bottom of the seat just fit lower?

Anyone else notice this, and is this correct?
