Last contact from Tesla was a week ago by Delivery Scheduling Advisor on the finalized appointment time/date, nothing afterward, I've sent a couple of questions afterward and no response. Is this normal? Based on what I've read someone (Delivery Advisor?) should reach out before the actual delivery. Should I be worried? Thanks.
I got an email the night before from the actual Delivery Center... and my MVPA appeared literally as I pulled into the parking lot... talk about last minute...
I would not be worried given your location. Me on the other hand, had a delivery date of this Friday. When I called my Tampa delivery center last Friday they tracked my car to Richmond railyard in Cali. No way that makes it over to Florida in a week. Still no word from Tesla so I called them and got a guy in Nevada that was "helping out" with the Model 3 delivery ramp. He was super great, and helped push my delivery date back a week to the 28th. My original ISA/IDA? advisor is still AWOL and I would never had known a problem existed if not for me proactively calling my local delivery center. Your car comes via truck from right down the road so I suspect they will make it happen.
Literally 5 minutes after posting here, Tesla scheduling team left a voicemail (I generally don't answer unrecognized callers) saying no-go on my planned delivery (car won't arrive, whatever that means..) and my Delivery Scheduling Advisor will get in touch with me to let me know the options (not sure what options they have in mind beside actually deliver the car I ordered). Anyway, disappointed, but oh well, life goes on.
I had to contact my local service center this past Saturday. It was only after that, that I found out that my delivery, originally scheduled for today, was going to be delayed. My ISA hasn't been in contact for the entire month of September so far. She didn't notify me of the delay or anything, only the local delivery specialist based out of Indy. I've also been waiting on an MVPA for several weeks now. I may have to do my trade in early just so I'm within the 30 days. Plus, this may also negatively impact my credit if the the financing Tesla arranged has to rerun my credit since my delivery will now be over 30 days as well.
Sounds pretty typical. I had first contact 9/6 with delivery scheduled for 9/10. I got a call from the home delivery specialist about 11:30AM telling me the web site was open for my payment and the delivery person showed up with my car at 2pm.
