Let the test drives begin

Newport Beach has a blue performance they are using for test drives the last two days. We went to the store to finalize our options. I test drove a performance at the Hawthorne Amped event and would like to try a non performance before ordering.

Something they could do is deliver performance versions to all the stores and then through software limit the power available to the motor to mimic lower powered variations.

I'm going for a test drive in that car tomorrow afternoon. The same store also has a non-signature, non-performance model in the store that is a production version. The specialist I talked with in the store said that it's not used for test drives, but the battery was low and they had it plugged in and charging. I'm thinking, hoping, that with a little persistence, patience, that a test drive of the non-performance car they've got might be arranged.

The last EV I rode in was an EV1 when GM first started leasing them. I couldn't afford that little guy at the time, but was impressed with it nonetheless. Something tells me the S will, eh, blow the doors off that experience.

We "test drove" a beautiful white signature performance Model S yesterday at Dania Beach. Too bad we couldn't drive it ourselves because we have no US driver license, but the guy at the store was kind enough to take us for a spin!

Of course I took some pictures and some videos, the last one is someone leaving for a scheduled test drive. God I love that acceleration! :D
