I lived in Modesto and Tucson so I remember what those 100+ degree days are like. I grew up in East St. Louis and was in the hospital in 1954 when it hit 117 which is the state record. Several people died because the hospital was not air conditioned. Now I live less than a mile from the ocean and the hottest it has been is 90.

Yesterday my car insisted it was 117 in Woodland Hills and a good chunk of the valley. It said 109 in Toluca Lake and 104 in SImi Valley. I'm skeptical on the Woodland Hills number but based on how I felt after working outside for 30 min it may have been accurate.

It's been stupid hot here in Las Vegas for awhile and both my '19 SR+ Model 3 and the wife's 2020 Model Y (LR) have been just fine with the heat, nice cold A/C. We both received the pop-up but for Nevada yesterday. Scheduled the cars to start charging at 1am and everything worked out great.
