Hi Syaoran, wanted to ask you which company (pdx area) you tapped to install your 14-50 outlet? or did you self-install?

I don't have the luxury of a charging setup at home, so I'm 100% mobile. Bonus is everything is usually free! Try to plug in whenever and wherever I can find an A/C outlet. To the right, got a 5-20 adaptor, as some of my work locations have the upgraded plug so I get a bit more juice. Got a short extension cord, because upside down outlets are a thing, and the flexible extension puts a bit less stress on the mobile connector. Not included in this photo is a 30' extension cord as well for days when I can't find an optimal parking spot and need some extra length. :D

For those skeptics out there that think they can't own a tesla without access to a plug at home...it is doable!

Just got my gen 3 connector installed. Reno NV I used one of the recommended electricians so they can pull a permit. My local quotes were $600 low (he refused to pull a permit and when I said I would do it radio silence), average quote is $800-850, high $1100. Mine charged $950 with permit. I had 31 feet externally to run, 60amp breaker 6awg THHN wire was used.

I had to give in and install something because my GFI outlets would constantly trip every single time I used my mobile charger and all outlets and the garage doors are on a single 15 amp breaker.... lame electrician whom was hired when our house was built.

What to get (MS owner here):
=========

The 3D printed Ebay UMC mount is on the wall, plugged into a NEMA 14-50, the connector receptacle is not used now as I just leave the cable hanging when not used.

Yes4All heavy bag wall mount:

Hubbell BD-03 3lb tool balancer:

Bewishome locking carabiner:

EVchargesolutions cord clamp, needs metal pen shaft over suspension point to protect from balancer metal clip,
needs 3mm neoprene pads for the two halves to grab the UMC cable tightly:

Voila! The other side is a high traffic area and the garage door track is too high to balance the connector over it (6'6" at least). The hook on the garage door hinge is just superimposed.

Where did you get the short extension cord? My outlets are upside down at work and it does put some extra bend on the cord that I’m not a fan of.

Got off Amazon actually. It's an amazon basics item too! So should be pretty universal to obtain...here's a link...

BE WARNED! You need to make sure you buy one that is built with at least 12 gauge wire and rated for at least 15amps, otherwise you risk creating a fire hazard and/or the mobile charger just won't work or you'll get a significant reduction in power output.

Cheers!

Solaredge 5000 and 7600 with EV Charging option. I was already getting a second Solaredge inverter for my 12 panels and 2 Powerwalls, so might as well spring for the EV Option. The cable is bound/matched to the inverter thru a QR id process so, needed a second cable too. There's also a regular NEMA 14-50 with UMC behind where I am standing taking the pictures.
