I was about to make a comment about propane tanks in an attached garage, but then I remembered I stored an oxy-acetylene torch in an attached garage for years. I finally moved the acetylene tank to the shed with the propane tanks...

I'm planning a 3 bay addition to my 2 car garage. The new addition's floor will be ~4 ft lower, with ~12 ft ceilings for the lift(s). Likely a dedicated 200A service. Will update the thread when I start to move forward.

Speakingof .lift...what model is this one and are you happy with it overall?

Challenger Lift since it was one of the widest to allow the Model S to fit underneath. Upgrade to the Signature S incorporating electric folding mirrors making it simple to get in and out.

Best safety feature is automatic locks every 4 inches in case of hydraulic failure.

Very happy with the lift.

Nothing special here, except that my charge cord never touches the ground. I hang if from the ceiling so I never have to coil it, trip over it or clean it.

I think I have maybe $600-$800 in materials. Materials weren't a big issue. It was mainly time. A lot of it. I didn't keep track of all the time, but I have 40-50 hours worth of video footage and I didn't even record everything. It was my first time doing anything like this though and had a fix several things, so I am sure if I made another I could cut some time out of it.

I guess these are my "before" shots. Mine definitely isn't showroom clean! One day it will get a makeover.

There is a Tesla in there hidden under the 2014 RAV4 EV body (40kW battery, 65K miles, unlimited mileage lease).

Tractor is a 2016 Kubota BX25 D-1. Also a Model Tee electric golf cart. Clipper Creek HCS-60 EVSE.

All I can say is go through this thread for inspiration and plan ahead for a second Tesla in the future... once you’ve had one it’s hard to go back!

A few suggestions for your own GarageMahal:

• Expoxy floor coating
• Built-in storage cabinets
• Overhead storage racks
• Overhead charging cables
• 4 post lift for storage/maintenance
• Refrigerator and Bathroom with urinal!
