Lifetime Average Wh/mi

Thanks for compiling, Jeff
2185 miles, 700kWh, 320Wh/mi
60kWh, 19", california bay area

Includes 2 trips to Tahoe and back, about 470 miles each but the average Wh was pretty good because traffic kept avg speeds lower.
Also I tend to keep the hvac on eco mode and AC off. Regular commute is about 7 miles with a 600 foot elevation difference.

345 Wh/mile over about 900 miles. Temperatures have ranged from the low 20's to the mid-50's when I've driven it, averaging probably the high 30's. Mixed driving--highway, around town, traffic, no traffic. Generally don't use much heat. No major elevation changes (~400 feet was the maximum). Liberal use of its capabilities . P85, 21" Michelins.

The Prius, I can understand, but, Jerry, you may not be helping Tesla's cause in your area in TX with the presumably conservative driving. The Model S was meant to be driven fast and seen to be driven fast! ;)

Well, my car is silver so it doesn't stand out. Also 50-75% of my driving is when it's dark so it's unlikely that people notice it's a Tesla anyway. I wasn't trying very hard to get good numbers. I suspect they could be a lot better, but I'm not as interested in good numbers as I was with the Prius (I got into it with the Prius because folks kept saying that they couldn't get the EPA ratings and I wanted some real-life numbers.)

Those are awesome numbers Jerry. I knew you'd be right at the top. I suspect I'll be under rated when the weather warms but never that low. Not to mention the test drives. The game's the same just the units have changed. Plus there doesn't seem to be a true free wheeling sweet spot with the MS, or is the car just too heavy and I can't hold it?

Just put the car in neutral. :)

387 Wh/mi, 1244 miles, P85, 21" wheels, Chicago, IL. I park the car downtown unplugged most days in an unheated garage, so there's some significant battery warmup energy used each day during the cold Jan-Feb here.

April 2014 update: 354 Wh/mi, 12,700 miles, 19" Rials with Blizzak LM-60s through the winter.

Here's my data

381 Wh/mi - 6028 Miles, Ohio, 85 Kw Battery, Sig - 19" Wheels

Value is going down as temperature is getting warmer. Noticed when the temperature was about 50 degrees usage was 320 instead of the average of 380.

This includes about 30 test rides with full acceleration. This car is not babied.
