LightShow loud thump

When I try to play the factory installed Lightshow or custom Lightshow, I get a loud thump and then get no sound on the outside speakers. Anyone else have that issue?

The thump is normal. I'm not sure what the reason for it is--maybe a warning to get out of the car immediately because you're about to be blasted by noise--but it just does that.

My car is too old to have external speakers, so I can't speak to whether sound normally comes out of them with the light show. It would make sense that it would, but maybe the light show app was written to the lowest common denominator, which means no external speakers.

When you select the light show do you adjust the volume when prompted? It might just be all the way down?

Thump is just a dramatic beginning. Nothing going to happen until you exit the car.

Thump is the sound of the speakers..like they blew. You hear it upon the start of the show. Even if you turn the volume down, the next volume screen comes up with it up..it’s strange. It’s in the programming
