I put my vw golf to "Three X" near Hung Hom to repaint the hood and fix minor scractches as recommendated by my friends. They advised that it takes 2-3 days and I gave them 5 days. It seems that they are quite professional. I got a call today and they advised that they encountered some challenges and needs 2 days more. Hmm. I was not totally happy, but hd no choice and gave them 2 more days. Let's see what is the overcome and I hope that it will end up as my friend did. Will update later.
My MX got very minor scratch, I send my MX to them for fix if it finally made my golf good. If the experience was not good, then I will make complain to my friend

My maid scratched my new MS with a hose when washing it. I'm livid as I never asked her to wash it. Once I calm down, I'll need to get it reapaired.

Can someone please let me know if any of the recommended body shops speak English? Also, any idea how much the value of the car is impacted by a scratch?

Judging from the photo, it looks like a light scratch. Have you tried buffing it out?
If that doesn't work, try Kingsway. The guys there can speak English and they are a Tesla approved body shop but be prepared they will charge you an arm and a leg.

Minor scratches like this will not have a big impact on resale value. Most used cars have scratches on them. That's why they are called "used".

Can buffing out the scratch be done by me? I haven't tried it. Seeing the scratch in person put me at ease. I actually had a freak out seeing the picture but it isn't too bad. Thanks for the tip on Kingsway; I'll try asking a local friend to help me with a more affordable option :)

Recently, I went to both approved body shop for a small bump on the tailgate.

Kingsway verbal quoted $60-70K for the fix
Grid Tech verbal quoted $55K for the fix

Both asked me to claim insurance.

The quote is for replacement of the entire tailgate and the part cost around 16K, but labour is the bulk cost.

I searched on YouTube and there are video on how to fix aluminium without replacement.

Really want Tesla to publish "fix guide" so we can determine if these costs are necessary.

Dent Doctor @Kwun Tung
Highly recommended . I got a quotation from Kingsway for some scratches, $72000 and need to wait 3-4weeks, I then Google and found Dent Doc, I got them fixed for $14000, in 3 days, their work was just perfect. I will never go to Kingsway again which rips clients off.

Hybrid Pro Shop @ Kwun Tong Hybrid Pro Shop

I used them before for my old RX450h before trading in for the Tesla. Recently went back with a crushed rear quarter panel and bumper. Thought I would have to replace the whole rear quarter panel as well but they recommended just fixing it and getting a new bumper with parking sensor. About 2 weeks for parts to come in, repair done in 5 days. Total 16k HKD not bad considering the parts and labour.

Hi bee boo, what kind of bump did you get on your tailgate and where did you finally get it fixed? I kinda found out about a dent on my tailgate as well today. Must have been a hit and run while I was parked. Too bad I didn't have a rearward cam.

Model X panel repair recommendations anyone?
My Model X in an altercation with a truck - passenger side rear quarter damaged. Took it to my usual shop, Mandarin Auto in Tuen Mun, but they said they couldn't help with the X - that the rear bumper needed replacing, and they didn't have the tools to do it. They have previously replaced panels on my old Model S and made a nice job.
Anyone able to recommend a shop which can handle the X?

Jason - where did you end up getting your repair work done? My MX is damaged at almost the same spot (with similar damage).

Also - I assume the plastic rims must be ordered directly with Tesla? They seem pretty custom-fitted.
