Lit Tab underneath rear seats

Sorry in advance for those who will tell me to RTFM (read the "fine" manual). I've just noticed in my Tesla S 2015 two tabs underneath the rear seats. I only saw them because they're lit when the car's interior lights are on.
I pulled on them but have no idea what they're used for.
Feel free to point me to another post explaining what these are. I don't even know the correct name for these tabs.

The rear doors are not mechanically attached to the door handle. If the battery is off after a collision, people will be trapped in the rear seats and not able to open the doors. These are the mechanical emergency door openers that can be used in an emergency. I give a briefing for any new rear passengers on what to do in an emergency. Test them. On my 2020, you pull them towards the center of the car.
