How many miles do you have and where were those miles driven? As others have said, the glass will be sandblasted from driving but I've usually seen it take a year of highway driving before happening.

You can make a paste of Bar Keeper's Friend and water with a sponge. Scrub the windshield and then flush with water. If it comes off, it was debris.

Interesting. Might not be sandblasting if on the side windows like that (wasn't there a thread about that a few months ago?)

Have you tried testing with say the point of a pin to see if they are concave or convex ... craters or deposits?

Mind you what you said about the paint would apply to either case

Interesting because it's in the side glass. Both sides?

You'd think if it was a defect in the manufacturing process, it would show up in the side glass OR the windshield, but not both as they're probably made on different lines, if not different factories

If it's BOTH sides, that suggests a defect, as does the paint being ok. It could have been someone running a leaf blower say, but that would have caught the paint too and probably not got both sides
