Yes, just disable remote access at @MP3Mike suggested.

Go to Controls / Settings / Safety & Security and turn off Mobile Access.

My husband and I are secondary on each other's car and we are able to see the location of either car.

You didn't get the cloaking option? Look in upgrades in the app and see if your car has the hardware, i believe its in beta and costs like $1.7M, its kinda like FSD, it works under perfect conditions.
