Lock / Unlock Signal Wire?

Hello everyone.

I have a 2015 P85D. I recently added the automatic power frunk kit to my car. My question is does anyone know where I can get a signal wire when the car is lock and/or unlock? I just need either a ground or a 12v signal either when the car is lock or when it unlocks.

I am trying to add a kick sensor to the automatic power frunk but needs a way to disable this functionality when the car is lock for obvious security reason and so I don’t trigger the car alarm.

I was thinking maybe the automatic folding mirror as a signal. But this has a few drawbacks. Any other better idea?

Use something that is only powered on while unlocked, like the door handle LEDs.

Do you know if the door LED remain on when the car is still unlocked but the handle have retracted? I’ll have to test that tonight.

best solution is if there’s already a wire to tap into in the frunk area.
