I can't quite see what the benefit of a 1.4kW charging could possibly be.
The efficiency will be abysmal as the car won't go into a deep sleep and keep systems powered up. Battery longevity will be mostly unaffected, I suspect, as even 11 kW is a fairly paltry charge rate (compared to the 250kW peaks charge rate the M3 can hold) and unlikely to cause long term damage.

Would be really nice if Elon got one of his battery gurus to push some advice out on Twitter about charging strategy during the lockdown.

have not charged since 11th March. Still holding battery charge strongly
