Locking sound - Bit Petty I Know

Hi all

Wondering if it’s only me that doesn’t like the locking sound on the Model 3?
I know you can disable it altogether etc, would just prefer a small beep rather than the horn.
Am I just getting old and picky?

It's the American style sadly. As far as I know pretty much all cars over there use the horn as a lock sound. Except the Rivian R1T which uses a bird call. Which I like!

I like it. A sort of quiet "toot". It's not loud enough to wake the neighbours.

Yeah I also like it. Perfect volume and quite like the sound effect, its distinct so I know its my car (unless of course there is another Tesla nearby).

I'd prefer it if it was a beep too. A beep sounds more, I dunno, classy? Definitely first world problems though.

I wish it would allow the choice of sounds like for the horn. A fart sound every time I walk away would be childishly amusing

I like it. A small blip to let you know its locked as you walk off, but not loud enough to wake neighbours if it was really early/late.

I would rather have a noise if you walk away but it doesn't lock. It could say "Windows!", "You didn't push the bonnet hard enough!", "you forgot you opened the boot", "child didn't close door properly" etc.

Nah then everyone around the car knows, it makes sense that you got a phone notification for this.

Mines really quiet. It’s just enough for me to know it’s locked so I don’t have to watch the mirrors as I walk away.

Can you get a phone/watch notification for when the car locks as you walk away? Suppose you do get told if it hasn’t eh.

Surprised how popular walk-away lock is - I just turned it off when I got my car without even trying it. EDIT: But then I ordered a keyfob at the same time I ordered the car - I can see locking the car with the app every time would be rather more hassle.

I was under the impression most implementations of walk-away lock have a tendency to lock passengers in the car. Is Tesla's implementation more intelligent?
