Looking at the $numbers P90D

Let me get this right :

P90DL is $13k more than P85D new.
P90D is $3k more than the P85D.
The L upgrade is $5k (+labor) for a P85D.

Going the upgrade path seems like a good deal. I wonder if you could order a P90D (or P85D) now with the plan to upgrade later to save some money?

SC manager confirmed that his best information at this time is that the P85D had to have been ordered on or before July 17th, 2015. He did not have any of the particulars on the labor costs to do the retrofit as of July 18th.

At a Tesla event this morning the sales manager said, "in a show of good faith for existing P85D owners, tesla will upgrade current owners to Ludicrous mode for the $5k plus labor".

So in the same fashion Tesla has always seemed to take care of its customers they are doing the same once again. Kudos to Tesla.
