Auto Paint Guard has installed the standard 8mil paint protection film for the last 20 years. Over the last year, we have tested the 10mil thick Xpel film on “track cars” and every day use vehicles. With many hours of perfecting the thicker and tougher install, we feel comfortable offering this film on the Teslas that demand stronger protection.
The 10mil film has the same 10-year warranty as the 8mil. We continue to use Xpel patterns, which we modify to wrap edges where possible. This computer cut template allows for a safe installation; no need for sheets of bulk film and razor blades on your Tesla.
Little difficult to see, however the left side is 10mil and the right is 8mil.
