I just got one used from a fellow in Charlotte. While it works, the fastest speed I’ve gotten has been 35kw. I’ve used it three times at various EVgo and EA sites. 2 out of three I had to try multiple times to get the station to work. Really reminding me of the problems with CCS chargers when I had my bolt. If you need one, ok, but I’d wait for CCS Tesla adapter if it was me all over again.
Not trying to be rude, I've only ever used L3 with Chademo and Tesla plugs; never CCS. You said you had problems with CCS chargers with your Bolt, but to wait for CCS Tesla adapter. Would/how would it obviate whatever issues you experienced with CCS on Bolt? I've thought of getting the Chademo adapter like OP, as there are several free stations in the area at shopping areas. But the pay back on a new one would take 17k mi of charging. Besides the inconvenience of going to a shopping area just to charge (harkens back to my Leaf/Leash days), that's a lot of effort. Though I suppose it would pay for coffee for 2 from that point forward.
