It looks like the original thread is there now permanently, and I see that FlyHigh123 has also created a new thread, so all is back to normal. Everyone can exhale now.

The likely reason for issues with the forum yesterday was an L3 issue. I hope the reasons are as suggested earlier, but it appears unlikely, except that Elon said it would be so by the end of August, and the forum issue was a coincidence.
