For the last 3 months, I’ve been trying to convince Tesla to find the source of a very small loose part that seems to be inside the steering wheel itself as it rolls freely as I turn. After another visit to the SC (80 miles away) for an off-center steering wheel, I was told “we've been advised that no repair should be attempted at this time. For reference: New vehicle Limited warranty page 10 for limited coverage of noise concerns.”
If this were just a dash rattle, I’d understand that response. This is something rolling around in the steering wheel and I hoped it would be taken a little more seriously, especially after I’d previously been told they were “waiting to hear back from engineering” on it. I’ve driven a number of other 3s and not been able to duplicate it.
