Lost a sensor. How long to get it replaced?

Went to wash my M3 this weekend and found a hole where the sensor should be. I have no idea how it came out but I'm guessing it's not something readily on hand at the service center. I'm curious what everyone's wait time has been for repairs and has this happened to any other Model 3 owners? They put in for a loaner but it's not the same

I WOULD call the service center as they can get you the part. The picture is too close and can’t really tell but it looks like it the service plug/flap that allows you to jump the car so to speak.

PS do you realize you can upload pictures.

Yes, everything appears to still work. Maybe I'm wrong about it being a sensor.

Thats not the tow hook port, unfortunately. I'd give tesla a call.

Looks like the forward facing proximity sensor. You can see its mirror on the other side of the car.

I agree that looks like a sensor hole hopefully it has fallen inside the bumper.

It's unlikely that it's actually gone; it's most likely still attached to the wiring connector and it's floating around in the bumper.

That's a great question. My thought is to watch the screen closely as I pull into the garage tonight and get close to the wall to see if the front sensors show STOP warnings correctly.

id assume its inside the bumper because if you unplug one, it will disable the rest of the parking assist, at least this is true for the model s

mine popped in after washing too. I can feel it in the bumper but cannot retrieve it so i'm going to call SC. I know the sensor still works because the car chimes immediately when i drive forward (just for a few seconds).

What was the end result for you guys? I've had the same thing happen after hitting some road debris.
