I had blackvue 650 connected to OBDII port for over year, worked great. I just noticed today that dashcam isn't getting any power. I am guessing fuse blew. Is the OBDII fuse location on the fuse box on right side panel as shown in this video? I believe this car has multiple fuse boxes, so want to make sure I open up the correct one. Interior Fuse Box Location: 2012-2017 Tesla S 2017 Tesla S 90D Electric Just to be safe I am planning on avoiding using OBDII port and plug into the 12v cigarette adapter, may be get battery pack.
UPDATE: It was a loose connection beween OBDII cigarette lighter adapter and blackvlue. All working now.
I haven't installed my Blackvue 900 (in transit) but have these parts for it; I intend to plug the BV directly into the socket (when that is attached to the OBD). You could wire them directly together, but there is supposed to be a fuse in the BV's plug (at least the 650's had one). Plug http://a.co/drZcyBq OBD http://a.co/7io0Qrm
see the link boaterva posted.. I bought those two, cut the other end of OBDII cable and connected it to the female cigarette adapter. Blackvlue provided adapter then plus into this.
I’m not because it’s an X for me. For an S, no reason not to get that cable with the ‘disk drive’ (I believe) plug and carry on. Far as I know that is still usable.
