Loud banging sound when on very low suspension setting

Has anyone experienced a *loud* banging sound when making hard turns while on very low suspension setting? I was on a bend on the interstate while in very low and for about a second I heard about 5-6 loud bangs but steering and driving felt the same. Not sure what it was. Heard it again while taking another turn the other way. Car drives normally after. Sounded pretty scary.

Couple of things to consider:
  • Did anyone rotate your tires recently? If they swapped the fronts and backs they are different widths and it could easily hit the suspension. Easy to check
  • The other area that a few X and some S owners are experiencing is a hard knock when going over bumps at load speed. This is probably not your problem. Two sources of this are bad front air spring struts or bad bushings on the sway bar links. I have had both.
