When that flying object cracks your windshield, it is covered under comprehensive. When that flying object cracks your rear side fender, it is suddenly a collision? Something wrong here.

Could something kicked up by the front tire actually hit the rear fender in that spot? Seems like it'd have to curve in mid-air to make that impact. It's like the magic bullet that killed JFK.

I have seen fairly large rocks bounce and change direction when they fall or get kicked up by trucks. Other objects can do the same. If the object was in motion when it hit the car, it is comprehensive. If the object was stationary when it hit the side of the car when the car was moving, it is collision.
