Louisville, KY Service Center coming soon?

I finally had a chance to stop by the new Service Center location. Drove around the whole lot/building to check on the status. No one available (construction worker wise) to consult on the apparent timeline for completion. Not making much progress. Still a shell of a building from the looks of things. They are “working” but it looks like progress at a snails pace. In all honesty I was hoping they were further along. Even from what I could see inside they have ALOT of work to do.

Elon/Tesla better get moving. Tesla sales for 2022 could approach 900K vehicles here in the US and this lack of Service Centers is going to come back and haunt them if folks can't get their Tesla's serviced in a timely manner. It's bad enough now if you are involved in an accident. I know Elon tweeted a few years ago Tesla was going to add more Service Centers, so hopefully, this happens sooner rather than later.

No worries! Hopefully so! Was curious for the longest time on the progress and finally stopped by. Glad to update.

@RNHurt,
Stopped by yesterday again (Mar 31). Not much change. Lots of construction trucks. Mostly inside work still I imagine. Slow going. By the way don’t see any Superchargers there yet. I can’t imagine having a SC without Superchargers but who knows. I’ll keep you updated. Was going to post photos but so little change I elected to not take any this go around! (Oh….the bonfire 🔥 pile of trash/garbage was gone in front of the front door! Progress!😁)

Did they paint it blue? Is that a "standard" Tesla Service Center color?
Can’t remember. I’ll look at my old photos. I’m a local and honestly can’t remember if the old Harley Davidson place was blue, brown or what. My neighbor was a Harley guy. I had a road bike years ago but now am not. I’ll see what I can find.

Edit: Wow. Good eye! looks like they did. If you look at my photos upthread the cinder block is grey/light tan. Now it’s that blue. Odd color but looks like a change. Now I don’t know if that’s primer or the final color but definitely a change. The porta-potty even matches the blue to a “T” (pun intended). They should have used Tesla red! (On the cinderblock, NOT the porta-pot)!

These are likely not superchargers and are just the standard Tesla L2 chargers they have in the parking lot at most service centers.
Don’t think you need 4/0 guage wire for L2 chargers. Did you notice the massive power distribution panel and supercharger in the background? They are using the existing building transformer so four stalls is all the power they have avaiable.

You need 6 gauge at minimum for the Tesla wall connectors so 4 gauge isn't that crazy. Not sure where you saw the wire at also? Any pics?

I do not see any superchargers anywhere in your photos. Can you point them out?

Which makes it even more unlikely they are superchargers. Notice the pedestals are the same as the ones you can purchase online yourself:

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but this looks like a classic Tesla service center setup.

Ohhhhh a teachable moment: 4/0 AWG is not the same as 4 AWG.

Either way I still don’t see how in the world these can be considered anything other than Tesla wall connectors...but I’ve been wrong before
