Low ceiling sensor briefly doesn't detect low ceiling

My underground parking has some big pipes running above. I've been parking here for two years and haven't had an issue. A few days ago, it seems the 'low ceiling' sensor didn't work and the FWDs opened in their full glory, thus hitting one of the pipes. It's a small dent, not a huge deal, but hoped Tesla would fix it. Great support tech told me that this isn't something Tesla generally fixes. Anyone have a similar issue, and have any luck? They've never failed on me. I have now removed 'Auto' setting and instead now they always open up low, so I'm not so worried of it happening again... but yeah. Sucks. For two years, haven't had an issue, the pipes were just high enough that they didn't interfere in low operation. And this time, I can tell based on the screen that the 'low ceiling' sensor wasn't reporting a low ceiling.

Thoughts? Sympathies? Etc...
