Lowering for looks and preserve tire life. What should I know?

Hi everyone.

I'm considering lowering my M3P with springs, as many of you have, but I would like to know how are your tires wearing? My previous car experience with suspension upgrades were coilovers but now I just want the lowered look without the added drop or costs. The car is a daily driver that will never see a track day.

Aside from the alignment, I'm thinking the camber arms are a must but what about the toe arms?

Eibach springs here and zero issues with uneven tire wear. Alignment wasn't even that far out post-install. Rear toe is the concern here and as long as it's not way in or out the tires should not wear unevenly. Anything more than the 1-1.5" drop is where aftermarket adjustable arms are suggested as the OE arms only have so much adjustment window.

I installed Eibach Pro-Kits 1in. The only alignment that needed fixing was the front toe. Everything else was in the green. Haven't driven on them long enough to see any adverse tyre wear yet.

I think Tesla allows up to 2 degrees on the rear “in the green” but you will see wear on the inside unless you corner aggressively.

Been searching threads and it looks like most only have springs installed with an alignment and call it a day.
