Lpt: dont disconnect charger whole the tesla is updating if you are using the nontesla charger using the adapter

By god it was so horrible! The charging stopped in between while the update was in progress, being a new tesla owner, i disconnected the ev charger but the adapter wouldnt disconnect. And immediately, the charger port started closing the lid and did put a lot of pressure on the adapter, seemed like the charge port cover will break.. thank fully it didnt but couldnt remove the adapter until the vehicle completed reboot after updating.. most anxious 30 mins of my life

Happened to me once when I was trying to connect my phone to a charger at work. The adaptor was plugged in but the car thought I had left and tried to close the charging port. Not a pleasant experience. Wish the car knows when the adaptor is left in.
