LR AWD Performance (Stealth TM3) Waiting Room

Picked up my Stealth yesterday in Bellevue! I'm in awe of this car and it is super fun to drive. Certainly lived up to my expectations. Upon inspection there were a few minor paint issues, mostly bumps under the clear coat. When I brought it to the attention of the service center, they simply told me it was "within spec" and I could refuse delivery. I didn't refuse delivery, so I'm guessing I will have to live with it. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I'm curious though about the badging on these Stealth configurations. I was totally expecting to see a red line under the "Dual Motor" badge on the back of the car. However, no red line. When I use the app as well as when I look under Tesla menu, it shows the red line under Dual Motor. It has track mode and the invoice identifies it as a "Model 3 Performance (18" wheels)", so it is definitely a performance. When I asked the delivery specialist about this, he appeared clueless, admitting he had never seen a Stealth before, but stated only the actual full performance configurations received a red line. I'm wondering if this was a factory oversight or if this is how they are badging the 2020's? What are your experiences?

My 2020 that I picked up on Friday has the red underline in the back of the car. White on black with 18" aeros Stealth

Were you putting a down payment? I’m still waiting on my SA to let me know how to go about putting one.
I just did my down Payment on my phone at pickup. Ach was thru the app. I was writing a personal check which was fine but they said I could just do it on the app and it was super easy. Total process for review and payment and leaving was 5-10 minutes.
What are you waiting on from your SA on a down payment? Did you put a down payment on your order? Did you finance they Tesla and have the finances value less than total price (less down payment) if so it is done and you just click accept for an electronic signature (bring your routing and checking number with you)

I hate the phrase "within spec". That doesn't mean anything. Sounds like more and more people are being told that, which tells me they're probably being trained to say that.

I'm going to ask to be shown the spec if I'm told that. I'm paying $60k for the car and defects aren't "within spec".

I was supposed to pickup my stealth yesterday. My SA called and told me that the detailing crew found several scratches. They offered to either have me pickup now or wait until the scratches are fixed it. Ive already waited 6 weeks, whats another 5 days lol.

No doubt. I wish I would have thought about asking to see the "specs." Seems very arbitrary. I'm thinking they just wanted me out of there and knew I wouldn't refuse delivery. I think a lot of this depends on who you are dealing with at Tesla.

Picked up the car and everything went smoothly! Already in love with the car and can't imagine not driving a Tesla in my future.

Still having issues getting a Tesla insurance quote. Now it lets me get a little farther, but then once I enter the driver info, it says, "We are unable to get a quote for this driver. Please review the information below." Anyone else getting this?

Good to know. I picked mine up in Bellevue at 12:00 pm yesterday. I'm wondering why mine was missing the red line. Again, the delivery agent wasn't that helpful and seemed to know nothing about the stealth configurations whatsoever. However, he was quick to tell me that the that lack of a red line is what made it a stealth. I' wondering it they just make stuff up without checking on the facts.

I believe they put the badging on at the store. I haven’t seen them on the trucks with the badges. It is likely they just put the wrong badge on. You can probably have them just add the red line. I would call your SA and let them know. If you need help I can see if my SA can talk to yours to clear up the knowledge gap.

When I get my stealth (hopefully soon!) I'll give you my red line if you'd like. I am planning on rebadging mine with blacked out versions anyways.

I didn't realize the badging wasn't applied at the factory. I will reach out to my SA and see what she can do. Thanks!

I had the same issue. Must be a system problem.

Very happy for all those who got theirs this weekend! We are going in to pickup our today. Thanks for those who've posted up pics! Very cool!

My SA tells me that I am “noted” to be built a stealth instead of my original order of LR AWD, but he has no VIN for me and my Tesla “manage” page has not changed since my original order on 10/11.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Then again, my SA never makes sense and contradicts himself often.

Does this sound like BS? If so, where can I call at Tesla to find out what is really going on? If I call the showroom where my SA is located, the other SA’s all go to him instead of the manager for clarity. The only thing I consistently hear is that (since my order date is early - 10/11) I should be assigned a car soon. I’ve been hearing this for weeks now.

How can they grab a stealth for me if they don’t know its VIN number?

Yeah I had the value less but it still put an incorrect monthly payment and it was still counting my trade in which I’m going to payoff the truck and put separate money down. My SA is waiting on finance to tell him how to do it. I know I’m not the first to put a down payment lol.
