LR AWD vs. P suspension height

Could someone with a Performance model measure the distance between ground and bottom of plastic fender? My AWD is just a touch under 30.5" both front and rear.

So the lowered suspension from the Performance Upgrade drops the front by ~17 mm and the rear by ~14 mm. But the rear is raised 8 mm by the taller 275/35 tires, so the net rear drop is ~6 mm.

Due to the imprecision here, it's worth saying that the PU suspension may actually have the same drop front and rear, somewhere around 15-16mm or 0.6 inches. (Again ignoring the taller rear tires.)

I think this is reasonable. Approx 0.5 - 0.6" all around.

I'm at 30.5" both sides up front, and 30.75" both sides in the rear. LR AWD on Inductions. And there is some wiggle room with the wheel well trim pieces I've found.

If that's more accurate, then the PU lowered suspension drops the front by ~17 mm and the rear by ~22 mm. The rear is raised 8 mm by the taller 275/35 tires, so the net rear drop is ~14 mm.

These numbers have a more equal drop front and rear; 17mm [0.69"] and 14mm [0.56"] respectively. That makes more sense to me.

Just to throw more wood on the fire... Tire inflation is going to make a difference. I just measured my PUP Y @ 45 psi cold: Front left - 29 7/8", front right -29 3/4", Rear L & R - 30.5"

EDITED TO ADD: I also just measured tire height. Again, 45 PSI cold. (The car has been in a 50F garage all night.) Front - 27 3/4", Rear - 28 1/8". That means actual tire diameter varies front to rear by only 3/8" and not .6" (Assuming equal bottom side compression.) We really need to measure circumference of the PUP tires to find the actual diameters. Anyone have some chalk? Mark straight down on your tire and on the ground at that point, pull forward until the chalk line is straight down again. Mark the ground there. Measure between the lines on the ground; that is your circumference. Actual diameter can be calculated from that.

Seems like a lot, but outfits like Mountain Pass Performance could use that information to start getting suspension components figured out for the Y. I know MPP has a Y on order, but given the current crisis it might be a while before they get one.

I think this is all good news for PUP owners. I was worried that if I went to a square tire setup I might end up with the rear lower than the front, compared to a non-PUP. However you play with these numbers, it looks like changing to square will at worst level the car, and at best still leave the rear slightly higher than the front.

In case anyone wanted some measurements were like for performance without performance upgrades (19”) here they are. Very similar to awd long range. 42 default psi cold in all tires with two convertible car seats installed and some accessories in vehicle about 65lbs total probably.

Just under 30.5“ in front and just over 30.5” in rear.
