LR AWD Waiting Room

Update: Talked to a Delivery Specialist at the Fremont hub (my pickup location). She said they will likely start production for my car around 9/24. Ordered 8/9. My trust in Tesla is completely gone at this point so I asked her if I’d get the car by New Years she said hopefully
That's weird. I ordered a white on white LR AWD aero on 8/3, got a VIN on Wednesday and am picking up tomorrow at the factory. I'll assume you'll have your car in the next week or so. Hang in there!

Oh, I am in the same situation. LR AWD, blue w/white interior, 19” wheel. Got a VIN today 452XXX, delivery Sept. I may cancel and reorder but am going to talk with me sales guy tomorrow.
Will be curious how you fair?

I just blasted off a strongly worded email to my sales advisor. If he does not reply by next week I'll walk my ass in there and "politically correct" ask for the items I sent via email. If I would have gotten my delivery already I totally would understand not being eligible. But seeing I'm still waiting after being "promised" within (2) weeks isn't cool.

I understand people have been waiting longer, and to those, I wish you god's speed b/c I would have lost my damn mind by now!

I ordered my LR AWD Model 3 on 14 Aug, and although the order process was very easy, from my cell phones browser, since then I've had to call the service centre in Calgary many times just to figure out things such as my trade-in which still shows as pending.

I finally got an email on Sat saying that they should have my car by the end of the week, then it will take 1 - 2 more weeks for them to ship it to Winnipeg.

That means that I should have it by the latest on 27 Sep if everything works out. We'll see if that is the case. Not bad for an original delivery estimate of within two weeks of the order...

UPDATE - I suppose I should have been more optimistic, but it seems like many have had very long waits. Anyway, I took delivery of my car last night!! Still longer than the two weeks quoted, but in my heart I knew it would take a month, so right on time!

Just got a few moments ago that said "Tesla Update We expect to deliver your Model 3 in the next two weeks and will update you when your delivery appointment is ready to be scheduled."

Ordered 8/18. I've called the SC twice with the last call on 9/11. The rep said they'll be getting more AWD's to the Costa Mesa, CA center this weekend, but who knows.

I hope that text is wildly overestimating. Still no VIN in the source code either...

The worst part is my current car is "sold" on Carvana and I''ve already delayed its pickup waiting for the Tesla. Looks like I might have to rent a SmartCar clown car...

Placed order today to take advantage of the promo but only took the free 2yr SC. My pre promo preference was white, with black interior and 18" wheels and didn't want to change when it wasn't what I wanted. All required info entered and uploaded. Now the wait begins. Hopefully only a short wait.

I was assigned a VIN yesterday. My sales person today told me “since you are assigned a VIN and the car is here, you are not eligible for the two deviations promotion, but I am still putting in the case for your 2 Years Free Supercharging. “ Had I not been assigned a VIN yet I would have been eligible. Honks me off. Too, I cannot cancel and the order like a White/white and then get the upgrade to blue with 19” wheels because “I also asked my manager about Cancelling and reordering, but Tesla has changed its policy to prevent people from ordering the same car more than once within a year to avoid people abusing the referral program and to keep us honest. ”. I’m wondering now if I should cancel and try to order a performance because it would not be the same trim as me LR AWD. Of, course I’ll be out more in the end but able to get $2000 free upgrades. Not sure if it’s worth all the hassle.

Yeah, I checked this morning in the source code and I still haven't been assigned a VIN. I got a call from my Sales Advisor basically stating they are sorry and they would try and add the (2) year SC to my account but they cannot guarantee anything. Also, got my 1st text from Tesla this morning "Tesla Update We expect to deliver your Model 3 in the next two weeks and will update you when your delivery appointment is ready to be scheduled." Checked right after in source code for VIN, no dice!

I'm not really vexed about the "wait" per se. I'm more vexed about the lack of communication, the "wait" problem is more corp./manuf. and that's another conversation. But the lack of communication to your customers, especially when you placed an order in-store is atrocious. *sugar* an automated email every week letting you know it's "okay" would be better than silence for weeks on end.

I'll keep you all updated on my status and source code as the days come closer to the end of the month. I can guarantee if I don't have a car by 09/27 I'll be asking for some compensation.

Rant over

So how're you guys/gals doing with your deliveries?

Just curious, do you see the referral code you entered in your order management page?
I have my delivery date, no VIN, and no referral code.
No my friend I don’t see my referral code online but the sales advisor can check and confirm it one their end. Even if somehow u failed to add the referral code, no big deal ur sales advisor can always add it afterwards.
