Ordered a MSM with aeros, FSD, and a black interior today. There is one on a train to Chicago and I am supposed to be able to take delivery withing 2 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Where in the page source do you/can you find VIN numbers? I’m not sure which page or where? Thanks.
Ordered mine on the same date; same color. I haven’t heard anything yet.

Right click on the manage page for your order and click 'view page source code'
Type 'CTRL F' and type 5YJ in the search bar.
If a VIN is assigned it will show up.

It took 3 days to assign a delivery specialist to my account. It took 5-6 days to assign a VIN for me. Then it took another 4 days for the purchase contract to show in my account. Once the purchase contract showed up, things went super fast. I’m in Texas so I don’t know if that makes a difference.
I'm in Northern CA and it's been a rollercoaster. Current car lease ends mid November. I originally ordered in mid September because of the possibility that it would take a few weeks. But a car came up right away, so after talking with my SA and in light of all the cars that were available, we put my order on "hold" until mid October. Even early last week there were many matching cars in my area. But suddenly they were all gone; we decided to release my "hold" last week (Oct 10) and now, based on comments in this forum, I'm concerned about not getting a car by mid-November. I called my SA this morning and she said that the only information she has (yeah, right) is that it'll take 3-6 weeks. Now I'm wishing I'd just taken delivery last week and lived with the one-month overlap of paying for two cars...

That sux! Sorry! I know how you feel. It's going to be a tight squeeze with your lease end. I placed an order on Oct 1, and a few days later I was notified for delivery for Oct. 9th. I'm in Marin (Bay Area). The delivery rep said "no delays or I couldn't have it." That was the peak of the PG&E blackouts and my (grown) daughter was with us severely ill. They wouldn't hold it until the weekend - or even one day - so I had to cancel. If I had known it was going to be at least several weeks longer, I would have tried to figure a way - though we were really overwhelmed with our daughter. I reordered Oct 11th - and am worrying about picking up by even mid December. Any longer than Dec 20th and my wife is having knee replacement surgery. I won't be able to leave her for a minute for about 3 weeks. So I'll have to cancel and wait months again!
I'm selling my trade now as to make it an all cash sale, figuring Tesla will be more inclined to deliver if they don't have to deal with all that stuff. But you've noticed it too ..... early last week all the inventory disappeared overnight! It went from well over 100 cars (200 mi radius) to zero. Something has changed but it's not clear. I hear all different things ... 2-4 weeks, 3-6, 4-8, 8-10, 8-12+, even late December. Not much to do but get a charging outlet installed and wait for an undetermined amount of time.

I placed an order for a blue/black LR AWD without FSD on 10/12. Just got a call from my local delivery center that they have my car ready for delivery! Crazy how it has only been 4 days, despite reading all of your guys’ comments.
I hope you guys get your cars soon! Can’t wait to pick my car up this weekend.

Tesla has scattered inventory. You got lucky, congratulations. I don’t think production for N America has started or will re-start for a long time.
Interesting because I’ve been checking their inventory every day and they haven’t had any in SoCal for the past few days. Definitely consider myself lucky.

Update - car arrived “earlier than expected” and Tesla won’t hold it for more than 7 days. I can’t pick it up before the 26th due to being out of the country. Getting put back in que on Friday, hoping that I can get matched to my original car. If I can’t, back to waiting. Disappointing at best.

I saw a car in inventory a few states away matching my configuration. Called my Advisor and they claimed the vin for me. Once they did that, it doesn’t show up on my login but I can see it in the source code. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive at the other center (it was in transit) so that it can then be shipped up to my center for delivery — hopefully 2 weeks or so
