Looks like I'll be picking mine up tomorrow. One critical issue though, the sales tax on mine does not discount for the trade in. In Minnesota you only pay sales tax on the difference between the sale price and the trade in price. In my case that amounts to $1474.20 difference which I have been assured will be taken care of at pickup.

What Tesla told me was that their system doesn't account for that, they just multiply the sale price by the tax rate for your state. But when they finalize the paperwork, they actually call the DMV for the correct sales tax and all other vehicle taxes. So....

Assuming that is correct, I will have gone from order to pickup in 13 days. And all I had to do was buy a car that was $13,700 more than I originally ordered.

Went from SR+ Blue / Black / 18" Aero to LR AWD / MSM / White / 19"

Finally picked up my M3 only little thing was a small scratch that the Tesla rep told me about in the rear bumper and they are going to fix it at some point. I did not think it was a issue at all but will take the fix. Easy process about 20 mins. I had homelink included, the Jxxx adapter and my account reflected the 5k supercharger miles so no issues oter than minor minor scratch.
How do you hold them accountable for the fix? Is it noted someplace on sales order? Just wondering how this is handled.

Got Mine! I guess I'm not up to date on Minnesota tax law. Apparently trading in a leased car does NOT reduce your sales tax. Ugh. So I went in unprepared to make my payoff. Took a while to iron out the details but alls well that ends well and I just drove back to work with it.

MSM looks awesome in person!

I was supposed to pick up my LR AWD Blue M3 this morning but was called last night and told it's running late. Per our conversation, you have as long as you need when you pick up the car (or it's delivered) to check every detail inside and out. The sale rep then makes notes of all repairs you point out and gives you a resolution. Some fix on the spot, some make an appointment to see the nearest service station to do the work at no charge. Some have even posted they got a loaner for the duration of the repairs.
I'm bringing a note pad myself, with pictures should cover my butt. I know it shouldn't take more than an hour, 45 minutes if it's really clean. We'll see how it goes and I'll let you know. Saturday is the new pick up date.

...Oh yeah. Anybody else get told a crazy delivery date? They told us 8 days to delivery from order. Granted I live in San Diego and it's coming from Fremont, but that still sounded nuts. I'm wondering if anyone did get it in a week and a day?

Picked my car up in minnesota yesterday. 11 days from custom order to delivery. I had to reboot the computer 2x in the first 12 hours, but physically it appears absolutely flawless. And even though I ordered after the no-more-homelink announcement, it did come with homelink installed.

My only disappointment was that it did not come with USB cords and the wood strip seems fake compared to the demo car in the showroom.

I asked them about it and they said that they stopped coming with cords a month ago. Seems stupid to short change people over a $10 cord. But I have a box full of usb cords at home so it is not really a big deal.

I don't mind too much the fake wood dash because I hated the real wood dash and planned to replace/cover it anyway. Now i feel less guilty about it.

Ordered white/black w/aeros on 6/6. Got a text this morning stating it was in transit (yeah!) and to schedule a delivery date with my rep.

However, still no VIN on my Tesla account, even in the page source code. Is this common?
I ordered the exact same car as you, also on 6/6, and also got a text this morning that I can choose to pick it up either Thursday or Friday of next week. I also don't see a VIN #, couldn't find it in the page source code, either. I may call them later as I'll need the VIN to get my insurance.

EDIT: Actually, after I confirmed my appointment date/time online the VIN# showed up on the build page.

First post. BMW i3 owner for the last 2 years. Test drove an M3 on 5/28, immediately placed an order. LR AWD, pearl white with black interior, 19" Sport wheels, no FSD (yet). Expected it in a couple weeks, but it arrived on 6/3. I was unable to pick up until 6/9. Communication from Tesla reps was excellent from pre-test drive through delivery. The delivery experience was also great. I arrived 15 minutes early, we immediately started on paperwork, then the walk-through. I drove away (with a full charge) 15 minutes after my scheduled arrival time. After reading the forums, I wasn't expecting perfection. But the car really is flawless- all gaps are even, no paint or interior issues at all. I've owned a lot of great cars and SUV's over the years, including a Porsche Boxster S- but the Model 3 is the most fun thing I've ever driven.

the delivery agent gave me the vin in advance but promised that it would show up on the website 7 days prior to delivery.

and it became visible today. im really pleased with the communication from tesla this far.

for self arranged financing, how does one get a copy of the purchase & sale prior to delivery so that the bank can review it?

I contacted my delivery support specialist (her name was in one of the email I got from Tesla after placing the order). She sent me a Purchase Agreement that I signed and I gave a copy to my Credit Union.

Update on the status of my order-
Finally our Blue M3 is here, arrived this morning. 10 days from the date of the order. 11 until we officially receive it! The rep said they've already gone through and done minor detailing. Cool proactive attitude since it's been there all day. We'll see how good their eyes are . We are meeting Saturday at 3:30 PST and it might take me a while to get back home. Probably will have to peel myself outa the seat. Let you know about the finale...

Finally picked up my Blue/White with Aeros. It’s such an amazing car! Delivery was excellent (our first attempt last week failed after we discovered a crack in the roof).

They were pretty communicative throughout and sent a cool photo of the car in the shop!

The Mount Kisco NY operation was operating at full speed. 3 deliveries whilst we were there!

Got my wall charger installed by the electrician today but the 5000 supercharger miles came through immediately after delivery so we’ll use as many of those as we can in 6 months!

Well worth the wait - ordered May 13th...

Nice! I pick mine up from Mt Kisco next week! That place is bonkers crazy busy on weekends -- reminds me of an Apple store.
