There is a guy on the Tesla Model 3 facebook page who got his car delivered the same way. It was filthy, and he took a bunch of video saying it was an unacceptable delivery. It was delivered in a dirt lot in Texas though. He focused in on same light damage, but it was hard to see that. Probably most interesting were the people who claimed he didnt buy it from Tesla because it came on a truck and not through a DC. Numerous times, he mentioned that he was 5 hours from a DC.

I am glad you were happy. I am sure a wash fixes things up. :)

Yeah, I'm definitely not that same guy as the Facebook dude. The transport guy had to drive through some serious weather to get it here, and nothing a wash can't fix!

Photo of how it arrived (which, again, I'm totally fine with since all it needs is a wash): https://photos.app.goo.gl/ASK2sfF8Et49o4AA9

Are you the only one in town that you’ve seen with a Tesla? Although I see some superchargers your way. Glad it arrived a bit early and looks nice.

There's not very many Teslas in Billings Montana, but I've chatted with another forum member from here about his, and found out that there's even a local Tesla group. You don't see a Tesla very often around town, here. I think that will change soon.

OK so I’m taking delivery tomorrow and was going to submit my final payment at that time. I was approved for tesla financing and had loan approved so was ready to go. I log in this morning and just see this:

Next Steps

We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment.

I still have a VIN and my delivery date, but none of my loan info is there anymore, including what my final payment is.

Taking delivery tomorrow in VA, no MVPA, haven't heard anything from them about delivery other than scheduling it.

I was in the same situation yesterday as you as I'm getting ready right now to go pick up my car. I called the delivery center yesterday and left a message. Within 2 minutes of hanging up I received a text wanting me to confirm my appointment for today. Which I did straight away of course. Nothing has changed on my account page. I'll let you know in a few hours what happens.

And...it’s back. I’m taking a screenshot of my final payment just in case.

My SA text me yesterday and told me told need to go to my account and see if there was an amount due, and if there was to pay it. I said there is an amount due but there is no way to pay it from the page there’s no link- he told me to reach out to my delivery specialist and they can help open the portal for payment, I told him I have no delivery specialist that he is the only person from Tesla I have had contact with. He said he would get with his boss and work on it today and let me know when I can pay........ I’m a pretty patient person - but I’m getting fed up with this *sugar*!!!! and if I go ahead and make this payment of $3800 and I cannot get my car before the first of the year how difficult is it going to be to get that money back???

Delivered this morning! Experience was actually very painless and the car is in flawless shape. They probably could have done a better job washing it, but I'm just thrilled to get it. Maybe I'll take her for a bath later today :)

Order date 11/29, Delivery date 12/18
Blue / White with FSD

Honestly after reading so many poor experience posts on here I was prepared to use much more of my patience than I needed to. They were doing onboarding for about 9 new hires at the Decatur, GA delivery center. Looks like they are gearing up for MUCH higher volumes next year. I think this will be a win for us all.

Honestly I had a very painless and basically perfect experience so far. I'm grateful - and sending those without cars good vibes!

My Red LR M3 was delivered to my home a few minutes ago. Wife, who has an eye for detail, walked around and looked inside. It is perfect -- the only issue is a tiny dirt smudge on the inside of door (white interior). I was concerned we would find more issues, but it does appear Tesla delivery quality has improved quite a bit. I know I still have to go through the check list and verify everything is in order, but the initial checks were reassuring.

I already had nema 14-50 socket installed, so plugged it in while the delivery agent was here. Verified it is drawing the max rated 32A at 235V.

Now I have to get through my work day before I can play with the new toy ;-)

Nothing here yet. I'm guessing the remaining Bay Area people who haven't gotten a VIN assigned yet should start seeing something over the coming days / weekend. I called Fremont yesterday and the lady said delivery for me should be around the 26th. Every time I call I get a different date, so yeah, likely over the weekend something's gonna happen.

Got a text that my vehicle is in transit and ready to be scheduled with a link to schedule and a warning that if I don't pick a date by tomorrow one will be picked for me.

Clicked on the link 2 minutes after I received the text - received webpage that all appointments are full and to check back tomorrow at 8am.
