Unfortunately I dont believe that will happen. I ordered basically the same but with aero wheels on 2/1 and my vin hasnt even showed up. Ordered from service center in Charlotte

Ordered midnight silver AWD LR w/ 20" wheels YESTERDAY 2.26.2020 and now my page has been updated to "prepare for delivery" but no email. I feel like I'm rushing into a marriage...I'm not quite ready yet! lol

The lender I'm looking to use is asking for VIN to finalize the loan. Anyone have any other options besides just waiting for my VIN in source? For example, does Tesla get in contact with the lender directly?

Nope, VIN in source is the first appearance. Tesla definitely doesn't get in contact with lenders except for the bank that they do their own loans for.
I had that same problem, held up one of my applications for a while but they didn't end up being my best offer anyway.
Got it - was hoping me not having Financing finalized wasn't holding up getting a VIN and putting me in a nice vicious circle

Got VIN in source code yesterday and scheduled delivery (15 Mar) email today.
when does the VIN tend to show up on the website?
I want to go ahead and order Homelink and if possible, the acceleration boost.
Will the store and app only be linked to my VIN at/after actual delivery?

Unfortunately, they require another appointment for the Homelink. Seems silly but that's just how they do it.
I ordered the same day! LR AWD / Midnight Silver / Black / 18" Aero. Hopefully, my VIN will show up in the source code and we get notified to schedule delivery tomorrow lol Here's to hoping!

I'm coming close to the oil change time for my car with respect to my trade-in day. If I'm only off by 100 miles or so I'm just doing the reset thing myself instead of paying $50 or whatever to change the oil. The service sticker will stay in the car in case whoever Tesla hands the car off to decides to change the oil in it.
