Seeing as how there's one for the SR/SR+, thought I'd start one for those waiting on a LR RWD.

Ordered on 2/28
they did reply with a trade in offer pretty fast, but I declined and will sell it myself
what was "pretty fast"? I'm going on 48 hours and no final trade offer. I am not going to go beyond the 3 day refund window on my deposit without a trade offer, although I am also going to go by Carmax today after work
less than 48 hours, but longer than 24
I have a 2013 Acura RDX. Tesla, CarMax and Vroom all gave me the exact same number and it wasn't great. I am selling the car on my own and plan to net $2k to $3k more than they offered. Sales tax is 7% here, so as long as I get more than 7% over their offer, I come out better...and on my car, it will definitely sell for more.
Interesting! Also, is there any notification that VIN is assigned (email?), or just have to check order status manually?
I had to call. I had originally changed my color to silver metallic after my original order. I read they would do it for a small fee. They did and said it was submitted and the change should show up on my account. Days later no change so I called tonight and after a very long hold , The rep told me “sorry silver metallic has been retired and it is not an option to custom order after February 15th and also I found your VIN for the Blue car and will email it to you .” That’s when I started finishing my insurance requirements. Once I uploaded proof of insurance I was able to esign the Tesla loan docs I had been pre-approved for , and those had the VIN on them as well which matched the one the Tesla rep emailed. My insurance company recognized the vin as a 2018 car so that’s when I dug deeper. When I called back , Tesla delivery department was closed and will call tomorrow to verify when it was manufactured and that it is indeed a New , non demo vehicle .

You should be able to see the mileage in the doc and if it's high, most likely a demo.
I have been consistently calling, and the quotes that I have been getting are all over the place. Given the quoted estimates online, you'd think that they'd aim to be a bit more consistent with their delivery schedule. I've received the following responses:
A. You will be assigned a vin within a week from the order date; your delivery will take another week
B. Your total delivery may take 2-4 weeks
C. Your vin will be assigned within 2-4 weeks; delivery will occur a couple of weeks after that
All that is to say, definitely expect some movement within 2-4 weeks, with the possibility of something happening before then lol
Wow thanks for that ! Sure enough it’s in Freemomt and already has 33.8 miles on it ! No thanks

33 miles is not what he was considering high. Under 50 miles is generally considered new. The typical paperwork at the transaction will list 50 miles.
