Ordered 3/4 (late, might as well have been 3/5)
Midnight Silver
18 Aero
All black
AP, no FSD

Quoted "within two weeks", delivery specialist from the Roswell, GA Tesla Gallery/Service Center said she's telling folks 2-4 weeks. No idea what that's based on. Hoping that "within two weeks" is accurate as I have a moderate road trip in two weeks I'd rather not take my trade on

less than 48 hours, but longer than 24

I have a 2013 Acura RDX. Tesla, CarMax and Vroom all gave me the exact same number and it wasn't great. I am selling the car on my own and plan to net $2k to $3k more than they offered. Sales tax is 7% here, so as long as I get more than 7% over their offer, I come out better...and on my car, it will definitely sell for more.

Cool. I'm over 24 hours but haven't yet hit 48 (that would be later tonight) so hopefully I get a call/email today

In Georgia, you get a credit on the sales tax based on your trade, so Tesla has about a $1500 advantage over me selling the car to Carmax or a private sale

I have been consistently calling, and the quotes that I have been getting are all over the place. Given the quoted estimates online, you'd think that they'd aim to be a bit more consistent with their delivery schedule. I've received the following responses:

A. You will be assigned a vin within a week from the order date; your delivery will take another week

B. Your total delivery may take 2-4 weeks

C. Your vin will be assigned within 2-4 weeks; delivery will occur a couple of weeks after that

All that is to say, definitely expect some movement within 2-4 weeks, with the possibility of something happening before then lol

Ordered 3/2.
Blue w/ black interior
18 Aero
AP, no FSD

Trade in offer received 3/3 (accepted), no updates past that. No VIN yet.

Assuming it will take 2-4 weeks, and assuming it will be a 2019 model. If they had 2018 stock for LR RWD, probably would have pushed it out pretty quick.

Hurry up and wait..

Don’t be so sure . I ordered the same car and color (except I got the 19 inch performace wheels .) on the day the prices were reduced. Just got the vin tonight and it’s a 2018. Guessing October-November build. I’m waiting to get verification on Tesla not trying to pass off a demo car. If not, I’m debating on whether to pass and wait for a 2019 build.

Interesting! Also, is there any notification that VIN is assigned (email?), or just have to check order status manually?

I had to call. I had originally changed my color to silver metallic after my original order. I read they would do it for a small fee. They did and said it was submitted and the change should show up on my account. Days later no change so I called tonight and after a very long hold , The rep told me “sorry silver metallic has been retired and it is not an option to custom order after February 15th and also I found your VIN for the Blue car and will email it to you .” That’s when I started finishing my insurance requirements. Once I uploaded proof of insurance I was able to esign the Tesla loan docs I had been pre-approved for , and those had the VIN on them as well which matched the one the Tesla rep emailed. My insurance company recognized the vin as a 2018 car so that’s when I dug deeper. When I called back , Tesla delivery department was closed and will call tomorrow to verify when it was manufactured and that it is indeed a New , non demo vehicle .

Try to find your VIN here. Tesla Model 3s in Inventory as of Feb 19, 2019

You should be able to see the mileage in the doc and if it's high, most likely a demo.

RWD LR will require a new batch of cars to be run. They need to fit this in between batches of cars for China, Europe and batches of SR,SR+,MR,AWD and Performance. So I am hoping we will get VINs in 3-4 weeks. I just received my eBay purchase of signature wall a charger. Will get that installed and ready for the M3 RWD LR.
As long g as I get our car befor June 30th I will be happy. I will be really happy if we get it before May.

In that doc, what's the difference between silver and gray? Is silver the color you can't order and gray is the midnight silver metallic?

Based on pricing, there aren't any cars that match my config, but with higher pricing there is. I wish the spreadsheet showed all the options. I think there may be one or two in Arizona or New York, but again I can't be sure.

If they have an inventory car that is not in Fremont, meaning at some location, like say Arizona or New York, would they use those to fill orders somewhere else...like say Atlanta...or do they stay in their region and the Atlanta order gets a new car from the factory?

I actually don't care about a end of 2018 car vs. a brand new one built this month, as long as it's actually new and doesn't have any miles on it. I am super anxious to get the car
