LR RWD Waiting Room

It could be a good deal, but it could also have a lot of upgrades that you don’t want, like red paint ($2,500), a white interior ($1,000) and wheel upgrades ($1,500). If the car you were planning on buying was basic black with no upgrades, the discount could just cover the upgrades you don’t care about rather than making it the same price as a LR RWD.

Correct it had White Paint & Wheel Upgrade.
What part of Florida are you in? I’m in WPB. If the LR AWD they offered you is close by I’ll see if it’s still available.

Hello everyone!

I have been reading this forums daily since Feb 28. I placed my order on Feb 28 for a LR RWD M3. I got a VIN the next day 03/01/19 and started the (private) loan application that same day. The VIN was a 2018 mode but that did not bother me to much. On Monday 03/04/19 I got the MVPA agreement via email and found that the car was labeled as a “Service/demo vehicle” but the most surprising fact was that the odometer reading was 1385 miles.

At that moment I immediately emailed Tesla and requested a new VIN because that was unacceptable for me, they did not mentioned anything about the car being a service/demo vehicle and did not even offered a discount.

After that, I have been waiting for the new VIN and I have checked my Tesla account every day. I am happy to inform that today I got a new VIN in my account, it is a 2019 model with delivery scheduled for 03/20 in Florida.

The specs are:

LR RWD
Multicoat Red
Black interior
AP + FSD
19 Sport Wheels

I placed my order on the 13th for a LR RWD Black/Black, Aero, with FSD. Haven't heard anything. I assume it probably won't follow the within two weeks estimate. Hopefully they will push out as many as possible before the end of the month....

Ordered on March 11th. Delivered to my door this morning (March 17th) right from the Fremont factory, 20 miles on the odometer.

Between the time I placed my order and receiving the car, nobody emailed me or called me. A few days after I placed my order a delivery appointment did show up in my account but nobody called me to set up the appointment or give me a VIN. I called to check on that delivery appointment (which I never set or selected) and they said the delivery appointment was bogus because no VIN had even been assigned.

But lo and behold, at the appointed delivery date and time, the car pulled up into my driveway. I called to make sure there wasn't some mistake, asking why nobody called me ahead of time with the VIN or sent me forms to sign. The person in Fremont claimed my car rolled out of the factory 3 hours before I received it and the VIN was assigned right then. I took the car for a spin to make sure nothing obvious was wrong (there wasn't) and then wrote the delivery person a personal check, signed my name about 8 or so times to a bunch of papers, and that was it.

The delivery process was so fast and easy it felt wrong somehow :) It was like ordering something from Amazon, having it delivered to your door, and then giving the UPS guy a signature.

White exterior, black interior, sport wheels, autopilot, no FSD (will add that later)

I am new to the forum but I have been checking this thread for awhile. I am also waiting:
ordered 3/1
config. white paint, blk inside, aero wheezs, AP
And nothing from the mothership! Michigan is a cold place but colder without my "within 2 week M3".
Thx and will inform with news.

Just joined the forum. I placed an order on March 12:
Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive
Pearl White Paint
18’’ Aero Wheels
All Black Premium Interior
Autopilot
Full Self-Driving Capability

Still waiting for a VIN and delivery date, though I had a local sales associate call the day of the order asking if I wanted to upgrade to buy an available AWD demo instead.

I ordered 3/4, Midnight Silver LR RWD. I'm in Atlanta and was quoted on the website "within two weeks"

Today about 15 minutes ago, I finally got a scheduled delivery date for 3/25 which is 3 weeks to the day.

Question in case anyone knows: I don't see a VIN anywhere and I've only gotten the automated text message, no personal message from my delivery specialist. Does this mean I have a VIN now? The order status page has only changed to show my delivery appointment, but I'm still in the "Prepare for Delivery" stage. No contract or anything and no VIN I can see
