I ordered 3/4, Midnight Silver LR RWD. I'm in Atlanta and was quoted on the website "within two weeks"

Today about 15 minutes ago, I finally got a scheduled delivery date for 3/25 which is 3 weeks to the day.

Question in case anyone knows: I don't see a VIN anywhere and I've only gotten the automated text message, no personal message from my delivery specialist. Does this mean I have a VIN now? The order status page has only changed to show my delivery appointment, but I'm still in the "Prepare for Delivery" stage. No contract or anything and no VIN I can see

So I called the delivery center in Alpharetta, GA and spoke with a (but not my) delivery specialist who could see my VIN and emailed it to me. It still doesn't show up on my account. She had some computer trouble and couldn't dig deeper, but is having my specific delivery specialist follow up tomorrow. I'm guessing her being out was the holdup, and maybe she's needed to push the paperwork into the next phase.

The delivery specialist I talked to did mention that they are reaching out to folks who get a delivery date as the "system" is not that accurate and sometimes cars are arriving much earlier than the estimated delivery date and sometimes they are missing the delivery date, so they are calling folks as soon as they have any concrete information about where the car is. Not sure if this is Atlanta specific but thought I'd put that out there
 
Talked to my local delivery team today, apparently not only does the "system" aggressively oversell the original estimated delivery, but it also oversells the scheduled delivery text. Turns out my shipment is en route, but now won't arrive for several more days past my scheduled delivery.

Also for all of you saying you haven't been contacted, apparently human reps aren't reaching out until 24-48 hours out from your actual scheduled delivery, once that is set along with VIN.
 
I ordered last night (3/17) because of the pending price hike, figure I will have 2 weeks to secure the best rates for my loan.

Well today (3/18) I received an email scheduling my delivery for Wednesday (3/20)! The VIN number is already populated into my account.

Do they have abundant of these waiting for Q1 delivery or something? LR RWD black/black 18" aero.

Watch out, when a delivery is set that quickly it's usually a demo or 2018 model.

I live in Orange County and Tesla said I qualify for home delivery when I ordered it. As of today, 3/18, the site states:

"We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment."

I'll keep you all posted.

Is it a 2018 or 2019 VIN? Curious as i'm in southern cal as well and ordered the same as you on 3/13.

This is quite odd as I ordered the exact same config on 3/7 and am still waiting with zero word from Tesla, and I’m also in Orange County. I can’t see how someone in the same location, with the same config, orders 10 days later and instantly gets matched? Clearly this isn’t a first come first serve situation.

I received a call over the weekend for a same day pickup for a Black LR/RWD with white interior or a Blue LR/RWD with black interior and both were being offered with the free upgrade for leather/paint. I declined on both and still waiting for a car in my spec.
