LTE upgrade

Upgraded by PDX SC 4 weeks ago as part of the screen bubble issue. Part of extended warranty so paid $200 included rear door mechanisn, screen, MCU gen1 and LTE. Esthetically quality if work was good, even thougt they forgot a panel underneath open. All my settings were lost.
LTE signal strength shows one bar most of time, never gets to 5 bars even when passing by a tower it shows 4 bars. Acts like there is an attenuation effect. Speed test was ~6mps slightly better than w the previous 3G (3-5mps). Does the antenna needs to be replaced ? Something is missing that would explain the attenuation.

This seems like the correct thread for this question. My 2013 MS is 3G and AT&T will end 3G service in 2022 so I would like to know what Tesla is planning to do when 3G is gone. Anyone have an answer or even a rumor?

I recently did the upgrade, in fact, I think the invoice above was mine . My SC West Palm Beach sold new the SIM card and LTE KIT. I actually got lucky and was accidentally given a second SIM card. The installation was pretty straightforward since the MCU was out for eMMC repair.

Looks familiar. I forgot how bad it looks taking the dash apart. It looks worse than it is.
