LTE vs 4G

Considering buying a second hand MS 90D, dealer claims it’s a model 2017 face lifted (no nose cone and LED headlights) but VIN says build year is G=2016 @Freemont and MCU seems only to be a LTE version. When was 4G introduced?
How may a car’s other initially delivered options (like color, FSD, various packages...) be verified through a VIN number?

LTE is 4G, I think mid 2015 is when they switched it over? If its a facelift it definitely has LTE. Are you thinking of 3G?
