What Model Tesla vehicle?I have a 12V (nominal) Li-Ion battery part number 1598486-00-D
Can I replace with 16V (nominal) Part number 1598486-00-F
The 12V is actually 14.8V the 16V is actually 15.9V
Before doing anything, I would open a service request and ask. Not worth doing any damage or voiding a warranty. Better yet, if it is ok to do let Tesla do it. Just my $.02I have a 12V (nominal) Li-Ion battery part number 1598486-00-D

thanks Zen rockI believe the newer Lithium 16V batteries require different circuitry and are not swappable with the older 12V ones.
Even though the sticker says 12V there have never been 12V nominal li-ion from Tesla AFAIK. The lithium batteries that said "12V Li-ion" on the sticker were still 15.5V according to manual:I have a 12V (nominal) Li-Ion battery part number 1598486-00-D

Tesla is using a new 12V Lithium-ion battery in the Model S Plaid
Among the many changes that Tesla implemented in the new Model S Plaid, a new, 12-volt lithium-ion battery is one of the most subtle yet significant improvements the company made to its flagship sedan. The new 12V li-ion battery replaces the conventional lead-acid battery that has been...www.google.com
I'm not sure where you got 14.8V? It would be news if there were two versions.
I think people were confused by your question asking about 12V because all Tesla 12V are lead acid.

16V Lit-Ion Battery
I have a 2022 Model 3 Performance (production date 7/7/2022) and have verified that the car has a 16Vdc Lit-Ion battery. I opened the frunk and removed the maintenance panel to see the battery. I saw that some cars have a 12V Lit-Ion battery. Mine is 16V. Does anyone know why Tesla has two...teslamotorsclub.com
Thanks for the infoYes you can. Both batteries are basically the same, just slightly different revision. Not sure where you getting the voltage numbers you posted.
You don’t need any programming to replace the LV lithium battery, but you shouldn’t need to replace it either. Why are you replacing it?

Ah sorry , at the time of posting I wasn't sure if I could post youtube link or not, but see others have, so here we go.link?
I assume the cars with the 16v Lithium have a higher charge voltage, perhaps 18v which might fry equipment you attach to the car's 12v system. Is there a 18v->12v adapter that feeds the lighter plug? How many amps can it handle?
All teslas that use the lithium LV battery are on the same voltage (~16V fully charged).link?

Did Ohmuu ever solve the compatibility issue that cropped up after Tesla updated its software? The Tesla update started causing Tesla vehicles to throw error codes and refuse to run with the Ohmuu LFP replacement battery.that use OEM lithium LV batteries, there are aftermarket LFP batts too for the older cars like the Ohmmu batts
Per Prof Kelly, the 12v label is incorrect and just mis-labeledAh sorry , at the time of posting I wasn't sure if I could post youtube link or not, but see others have, so here we go.
