Correct caps will not fit the short lugs. You should have full thread engagement on the 21mm so the stud sticks through. Here is a picture of mine on a S. Same goes for a stud on a 3 it should be at or near the end of the lug.

I’ve seen various wheels where they are not boring the lugs deep enough or people are using spacers that sacrifice thread engagement.

I'm interested in seeing more photos of these installed (various lengths and with and without matching caps). Maybe put them on the same wheel for comparison.

^ kinda like how they have their titanium on their website. Not saying you should copy em but just a comparison would be helpful.

Is the short length the equivalent of the oem length? And do the caps snap on the medium/long ones?

My story.

I kind of fell into selling these lug nuts because I bought some aftermarket wheels and my oem lug nuts didn’t fit the 1” bore. The wheel dealer gave me these very long, very heavy, and cheap looking lug nuts so I ended up making my own.

My background. I have a BS and MS in mechanical engineering. I’m also a licensed professional engineer in the state of California specializing in machine design so I know what I’m doing.

I’m a Tesla owner and I’ve been on TMC for quite a while and some of the other facebook groups. I’m not sure if this business is going to take off so I’m on TMC for a limited trial, I’m on facebook marketplace and ebay as well.

If you have any questions please ask I’ll try to answer the best I can.
Where can I get the lightest set?
