Has anyone identified / can anyone recommend a Model 3 car cover, ideally waterproof, that is usable while charging? The official Tesla one isn't available in the UK, as far as I can see on the store.

Thanks v much

Hi all

I am having the same trouble. Took delivery end of March in the UK and really cannot find a decent car cover for outdoor use with a charger port. I would love something like this but cant find any UK sellers...

Car Cover for the Tesla Model 3

Does anyone know of any equivalent to this that is sold in or to the UK?

Many thanks

I went for the BougeRV, see thread below. It's not anything special but does seem to keep the car much cooler and seems to be fine with charging. All the others I've seen in UK aren't very well tailored to the car (if at all) and I definitely wouldn't use while charging.

I returned our BrogueRV cover for full refund without opening due to concerns raised on this forum regarding potential damage to paintwork in windy conditions. I don't know if these fears have been realised by anyone yet?

I did have to do an unscheduled wash of the car yesterday due to a very coarse, almost cement like dust covering the car. I think it was from a recent fire from the nearby heathland depositing soil/mud in the strong northerly's. At first, I wished I had kept the cover, but an extended pre wash seemed to resolve it easier than I thought it might. Found a couple of large chunks of something down between the windscreen and frunk so whatever it was, it was more than normal pollen or desert sand - plus wrong wind direction.

Heathland and desert sand? Now I'm curious.

Yes I've been looking closely for any signs of scratches - none spotted yet though I'm no expert. I may stop using it once we're (hopefully) out & about a bit more normally, but I've been grateful for the protection in the meantime.

OK, cover delivered. Import tax to UK was £60 in the end. I’m so impressed with cover though. It’s a really snug fit. Very soft inside and easy to fit and remove.

he is a quick video of it on my car ;)

I’ve add some pictures also.

I hope this helps others to choose a cover.

I’ve been able to run the AC with it installed also as vent in front allows air flow and also battery cooling when charging.

sorry posted this from my phone so formatting might look a bit odd.

Hi

so purchase and deliver was a total of £254.46 then DHL contacted me for an additional £62.62 for import tax, so complete total £317.08

I’m sure if you keep looking there might be something cheaper and UK based I just was finding myself cleaning the car pretty much every day to keep bird crap and dust from the fields off paint work, having to leave windows down during hot days as interior was going about 50c, I gave up looking lol

I hope this has been of some help.

thanks

next mission, replacement number plate holders!
