M3 SR+ charging everynight

Unless your power bill is extremely consistent I'd say there are other factors that caused the $80 increase. My power bill gives me the average temperate for the previous month compared to a year ago. Does yours do that? Outside temps are the biggest influence on how much power your house consumes.
If the car uses $30, it doesn't take very much to blow through an extra $50 of power. Continue to track it though!

No new things. I compared it with this month of last year and it increased by $80. I drive 1000-1200 miles per month excluding long drives for that I charge it at SC stations. Am I missing anything here, anybody would know the tips and tricks to lower it down to avg $1 per day?

Out of 1000-1200 miles you actually do some Supercharging? Then it should be even less than $30. One month of data isn't enough to go on.

My bill varies quite wildly from month to month, but has been pretty consistent from year to year for the same month (i.e. Jan 18 similar to Jan 19, etc.). I've been basing my increases by the increase year-over-year. The first partial bill after I got the car was at about 1400 miles (had the car for about 2 weeks at that point). The bill increased 272 kwh from the previous year. My plan gives me tiers so the usage was mixed partially between $.16 and $.19 per kwh -- so my bill was about $50 more for that period. February will be more as I've added over 2,000 miles since the meter was last read and it won't be read until about February 10.

I have been reading/hearing that we can charge car everyday/night that doesn't effect battery life in long run. Still wanted to know more about it as I charge it every night.
Here is more info about how I charge it:
Charge it 80% i.e. - 200 miles every night
drive 60 miles everyday + phantom drain + Sentry mode altogether after reaching home there will be ~105 miles left. So I charge it to 200 miles in the night and this is my routine.

So now I am thinking instead of charging it to 200 miles everyday why don't I charge it 150 miles only since any way I am charging it every night.
Any better ideas how to optimize it which can lower down the electricity bill and does not effect battery performance and at the same fulfill my commute.

The TLDR version is that the battery will last longer if max charge is at 80% or below, and charge as often as you can.

As for electric bill, everything useful had already been mentioned. If you own a home and EV, then installing solar is a no-brainer.

Scheduled departure idiotically turns the charging off at 6 AM, no matter what departure time you set- presumably because the programmers personal electric rates went up at 6 AM (the release notes actually cite this time as when rates go up- which is obviously only true for a specific group of folks and not most)
isn't the "peak rate" charging for "scheduled charging" and departure for "make my battery ready to go"? that's how i understood it. i didn't think "set departure time" was based off of any pre-determined rate assumptions.

Nope.

After 6AM the only thing that feature appears to do is get the cabin to your set temp by whatever time you said you were leaving.

What that other guy is doing is instead insuring his car is actually charging and warming the battery (rather than just he cabin) for an hour before he leaves.

i had to look it up. that's kind of disappointing and i never really paid attention to that bit of information before. it sounds to me like scheduled departure provides little to no benefits (at least in my state) and that if i want to precondition the battery, to just turn on the climate 15-20m before i leave.

Tesla Owner's Manual said:
Scheduled Departure: For any location, such as Home, you can simply plug in Model 3 and select a time for when you want your vehicle to be ready to drive. Once your specified time is set, Model 3 prepares itself by determining the best time to start charging to optimize energy costs, battery longevity, and ensure charging is complete in time for your drive. Your vehicle also pre-conditions the cabin to a comfortable temperature and wamrs the battery. To set up a scheduled departure time, go to Charging > Scheduled Departure > Schedule and follow the onscreen instructions to customize your schedule. Charging Instructions 150 Model 3 Owner's Manual Scheduled Charging is best used to determine when your vehicle should start charging; Scheduled Departure is best used to determine when charging should complete for your drive.

Note: Your vehicle aims to finish charging before 6am (end of off-peak hours). If given sufficient time to charge, charging may stop at 6am, even if your scheduled departure is later. If the vehicle does not have enough time to complete charging before 6am, it will continue to charge until it reaches the target battery percentage.

We don't have such things in NJ but there is a on-peak and off-peak billing with different meter called RLM. I thought that is not useful in my case because I need to plan things that consume most of the electricity like laundry after 9 PM.
Anybody from NJ know if PSE&G offering specials for EV users in the state?

You should call or email your electric utility and ask, they might even have some rebates for installed a charger or whatnot. Also, go find your local Facebook club or the area you’re in here on the forums... they’ll be able to really point you in the right direction.

Your rates are higher than mine, so $50 sounds about right.
