Also, number of routers can be set up to not allow some devices to connect during some time periods. I used to do it to prevent my kids from staying up overnight on the internet..
Thanks again for the responses. I know how to set up router for time restrictions etc. And now I know if it is a big download to just turn off the car wifi until later.
