As a South African and an EV fan, I have watched Tesla/Elon with a huge amount of interest and pride. I am very impressed by the M3!
So very happy to read that Tesla are opening a store in Cape Town (my 'home town') and are going to sell the M3 in SA as well - yipeee! Just presume that a supercharging network follows (or precedes..). At 220 mile range Tesla could cover a huge amount of SA with 50 (?) chargers just on the main highways. And also hope that the authorities have dropped import duties on EVs by then..........
But I'd prefer an MS!
As I don't tweet can someone ask Elon/Tesla whether they would then (after 2018) support an MS in SA if I imported one (or will they sell CPO/new MS's in SA?). I shall follow responses keenly even though this thread will plummet down the threads list being of minimal interest to the rest of the world!
