M3P Uberturbine Wheels Curbed “IT happened”

I feel for you. I've had my Model 3 Performance since September last year and had avoided any damage to the alloys until yesterday! Some k***head in a campervan coming the other way forced me into the side and I heard a horrible grinding. Sure enough, both near-side wheels well and truly scuffed. I've not decided what to do, if anything, yet. I have a very good repairer in Northampton who I've used twice now on previous vehicles, but in both those cases I had insurance on the alloys so the cost to me was low.
Who do you use in Northampton. I need to refurb my alloy on my other car

Hi folks,

How did you order this? I can't seem to see it on their website. I was ran into a ditch by a lorry on a country road and have a chip in the wheel. not happy!

Hi, I've scraped my turbine alloy 😏. I contacted Tesla and they gave me the code WY0S?? Can't find that anywhere, even after phoning chipex. Anyone with any idea what this code actually is please.

So... Owned the M3P just under a month and and I scraped the rear passenger side wheel..

Saw this very helpful thread and have detailed how it went...

So the damage was this:

I masked up it and did a light sand using 320, 600 and 1200 grit.. didn't run it hard just wanted to smooth it out..

After I wiped away the excess dust we have this

...
Using the chipex paint I gently apply it on the edge and then run my gloved finger over it and for it to dry...

Removed the mask and used the smallest amount of blending solution the edges, I'm not sure it needed as it didn't really change much...

Finally a quick run over with polish and it's done

The colour match is very good, up close you can tell it's be "repaired" but from a distance it looks great

Pleased I have something that works well enough...

I'll get the wheels sorted and resprayed later in life but this works well for the interim..

How did it go? I work as a mobile technician myself and would be interested to see how others are going about the issue matching some of the more recent colours
Very well, mine was done by Revive. The chappy said it was the first time using a new paint they have for these wheels, but the results were excellent. I would post a picture up, but that would involve cleaning the wheel :)
