M3P- . What is it, how to order it, etc.

Someone from my local store emailed in December trying to get me to purchase a Tesla before the $7500 tax credit expired.

Once I learned about the P3D- I emailed back on July 24 saying that I'd be tempted to purchase if they found the configuration for me (Blue/White/Performance/19in Sport/without PUP). Within hours she found the car for me in Chicago and said they'd ship to Cincinnati for free.

I then placed the order and she assigned it to my account. Delivery was very easy and quick I picked it up on July 31 and couldn't be happier.

Getting an electrician out here at a decent rate was much harder than buying the Tesla lol

So interesting thing I noticed when confirming my price didn't change today. The cost details for my order show the following charges

Model 3 $35,000.00
Long Range All-Wheel Drive Performance $14,990.00
Performance Upgrade $5,000.00

Then all the taxes and fees.

They clearly have the performance separated from the hardware portion so I imagine their system can handle the order and if they aren't taking any its just a current policy thing.

Correct. In 2018, you could order it. So system could handle if the put the option in UI.

Just picked up my m3p-

Now I had to do one of rhe hardest things I've done... I dropped it off at the shop for tint, ppf, and ceramic coating. Won't get it back until Sunday evening! Ahahhhhhh!! NV

I decided to consider this model option too late. After speaking to sales today, there's only a couple left in inventory that qualified for shipping to the west and none with white interior. Kudos to all those that jumped on it early and got what you wanted.

As long as Tesla wants to make money, there will be more.... I didn't wait and bought a LR AWD in June - three weeks later, the M3P- released again (along with price reductions across the board) for the same price as I paid for my LR AWD (which I still love).

I would definitely be patient. Keep calling and asking every few days if you want it. Remember they desperately want to sell you a car. Buy the car you want - more importantly, don't buy one you don't want.

You're in Utah (I don't know where exactly). There's not really a lot of shipping they have to do! Stick it on a truck in Fremont and it'll be in Salt Lake in ~11 hours. These cars are commodities, not limited production vehicles - they're everywhere!

Just ordered a blue / white M3P- with 19s that’s sitting in inventory in Tempe earlier today. No issues getting it to Los Angeles. I didn’t have any luck finding these cars in inventory near LA, but the local showroom rep was able to find a number of them. Most are basic black on black. I was able to see one of those online in inventory, but she was able to pull up at least a half dozen.

That price sounds like a complete rip off compared to this

Some insane deals yesterday. Actual prices and not “after fuel savings” prices.

Didn’t capture all of them but many LR RWD for $33-$34k price range.

Wow, those were all LR AWD. Those are some amazing prices. Now I know to wait big time when the model Y comes out, wait a year and it can save you 20k plus.

Yes right all AWD. Red exterior + white interior AWD for $36k with literally low low mileage... sign me up. Mostly returns, showroom or demo drive models.

I am sure these might have some use marks and stuff, but everything is fixable for low price since these won’t have any major issues per se.

Curious if the carfax shows these were fleet vehicles, rentals or company loaners? Ie does the title status degrade value in any way?

Ordered a LR AWD in MSM with 19s and FSD on 8/11 then after much debate knew I wanted the performance option. Got matched to a P3D- in MSM with white interior, 19s, and FSD. Still about 4k cheaper than just going straight performance so I pulled the trigger. Take delivery at Costa Mesa on Sunday so only had to wait 7 days to get my Tesla. Pretty excited
