@SanmanM3, you can always try - you could argue that you were confused since your badge shows the red underline, and that's what you thought you were getting, you didn't look at your MVPA carefully...etc. Completely not what happened though so I'll leave what is "right" up to you. In the end it seems like it's fine to try to give them $2k for your vehicle.
IMO, that is your very best argument. Give it a shot.

Hiw does everyone know that its a NO? Who has asked whom? And if we get together as a group might we be able to persuade whoever is saying NO? Well make him/her an offer they can't refuse! Lol

Ha. Search the threads here. Yes, it is generally a "no". You have kind of a special case, so worth a try with a creative argument, if you actually want the Performance. Unlike most 2019 AWD owners, for your vehicle it is actually possible - it was a P3D- until just before they gave it to you, based on your story.

Your situation is a little unique (your car was a Stealth performance) so you have a 1% chance of getting a yes.
We have 0 percent chance, if it is not a listed option the service centers cannot sell it. Case closed. Plenty of similar situations to reference for precedent.

You should give them back and say you want an upgrade to Performance instead. Forget about those kids... ;)

What is wrong with your windshield, BTW?

There was some sort of scratch from trying to remove a sticker....I could barely see it...but they said it needs replacing...some sort of safety issue...I was hesitant...id rather it come from factory build...but I said ok

I think they go by what's linked with the VIN. I gave my insurance the VIN, and didn't mention performance (wasn't asked). It showed up as performance even though it's P3D-.

Generically speaking, VIN doesn't indicate if a car is AWD, P3D-, or P3D+ they all have the same letter for motors

9/16 - ordered, got VIN from OA, approved for loan via Alliant
9/17 - got delivery date, 9/28
9/21 - VIN showed up on website
9/23 - MVPA sent to me after calling number on Tesla account page, car now funded and good to go, 19in wheels also got comp'd
9/24 - Text asking if it could be delivered the next day
9/25 - delivered, no major problems on inspection, at the shop getting PPF/tinting now

The whole process was cumbersome, mainly due to poor communication and I almost cancelled.... but the acceleration is insane! Can't wait to really drive it after the PPF/tint gets done.

the reason is framed around getting the car before oct 1st for the promotion. 9/16-10/1 is not a lot of time to order a car and get it to my state (which requires full funding before shipping, im told).

from 9/16-9/23, i received no communication from tesla as far as getting a MVPA, which is needed for my loan and funding the car. my OA stopped responding after 9/17, the associates at my local tesla store would not or could not help when I visited them, twice. so it was zero communication for 1 week (out of the ~2 weeks i have to get the car for the promotion) in terms of moving forward with getting the car paid and shipped to my state. my delivery associated emailed me asking for funds to go forward with the sale but i couldnt, because no MVPA. I emailed her stating this, no response. i called her phone number listed in her email several times, no response. i called tesla directly and was randomly connected to my delivery specialist -- so she can answer that number but not her phone number in her email?

how am i paying a 2500 deposit, with the intent of spending 50k, and have no communication for a week? i got the car in 9 days in spite of tesla, not because of tesla. at least at a traditional dealership... yes, youre spending 4-5 hours to buy the car, but you are face to face and not dealing with poor communication.

Promotions are by order date. Not delivery date.
