M3P windshield crack that looks like a suction cup

Hello,

Drove on a freeway ~200mi yesterday, stayed at a hotel overnight. Woke up to this windshield crack that looks like a suction cup. Has anyone seen anything like that? What could this be?

Possible combination of something hitting the windshield and heat? Looks like a full replacement is in order. Sorry to see that, but I suppose it should be no different than on an ICE vehicle.

Whatever hit the windshield caused enough flex to cause the sandwiched layers to delaminate locally. Doesn't appear to be anything nefarious.

Did you have sentry mode on? Are you sure it was an impact while driving and not someone throwing a round object like a ball at it?

Edit nevermind, after a quick google, this type of crack is common when a small blunt rock hits a windshield. It's called a bullseye crack:

This is one of the most common types of crack that occurs when a small blunt rock hits the windscreen. The impact acquires a circular shape and at times a small piece of glass falls off.

There are a lot more things going on in the world right now that should have one questioning well before this. Just saying.

Classic cone crack shape that occurs from an impact. The size of it would suggest something like a golf ball or something along those lines (basically a spherical object).
